Welp they decided to mess with the story a little too much I think. They cut of a major part of it. In the novel he and the dog go around tag teaming people and knocking them out of the competition and then when it got down to the last couple of people he used the copied finger to take first place. That guy who he took out with the finger did take out a bunch of people but not more then our MC did with the help of the dog. In fact they got sort of a reputation during the contest and even a bad name for doing it because they not only beat people but robbed them which was a key funny part of the story. They were quite hated towards the end of the competition until he ended up using that finger skill and impressed everyone.

In the manga he turned into a female but in the anime he didn't lose, I wanted to see the female version of the mc ~sigh to much changes in the anime...

Hmm so the manga was different then the novel because the novel he didn't turn into a girl the penalty he would have gotten was pretty much just castration. He would be turned into a eunuch.
